Folks xChain V2: The Next Evolution of the Leading Crosschain Lending
To support the rollout, Folks Finance will allocate 1 million FOLKS toward incentives — fueling early unified pools, supporting strategy vaults, and rewarding users who explore the new system as it scales toward the target of $1 Billion in TVL.
Following a successful TGE, Folks Finance is turning its sights to a new target: the development and release of xChain V2. Building on the foundation of xChain V1 — the first protocol to successfully deliver real crosschain lending across eight networks — V2 represents a complete upgrade designed for broader reach, efficiency, and expansion.
xChain V1 introduced an architecture that connected multiple blockchains through a single lending experience. V2 takes that invention and prepares it for massive scale, with one of the most meaningful advancements being the combination of EVM and non-EVM environments.
V2 also introduces for the first time crosschain vault-based loans, expanding one of the most popular DeFi primitives into a crosschain environment for the first time. This unlocks a new generation of yield strategies that were previously impossible. Curated yield markets across multiple blockchains will be accessible from a single interface.
Beyond core lending, xChain V2 in partnership with Folks Mobile, will bring a debit card integration, enabling users to borrow against their collateral and spend the borrowed funds directly. This allows users to continue collecting yield while maintaining liquidity access. It’s a practical extension of DeFi’s capabilities into everyday life, designed for everyday use.
FOLKS token utilities will also expand alongside V2, with additional details to be shared closer to launch.
xChain V2 is currently in development. Folks has been the leading crosschain lending protocol for over a year, gaining significant market experience which will bring Folks V2 development far ahead of competitors. Exploration has been underway for months, and with the TGE complete, the team is now moving into full build mode.
More details, previews, and technical updates will be shared as the work unfolds. Stay tuned on Folks Finance channels for progress as xChain V2 approaches launch.
